Main Activities:
1/. Orientation of the project
CAMP will conduct orientation of the project to children and youth club in Krokor district, under supervising of Wathanakpheap's staff, staff of Wathanakpheap, two members of commune councilors, one administration police officer and the chief of 3 villages and will try to discuss about the cooperation between CAMP and them.
2/. 2 day-workshop on Peaceful Family
CAMP will invite 40 participants, children and their parents, about 15-20 families, to participate the two-day workshop. We will create Game related to peace to make children and their parents to work together to solve the problem and to help each other to compete with other groups. After that, we will reflect all the game with the meaning of peace and discuss how they can apply peace in their family. Parents and children will know clearly about the meaning of peaceful family and they can apply it effectively in their family too. We will conduct this workshop again with differences participants in target villages.
3/. Marching "Peace"
400 T-shirts and 400 posters on peace issue are printed and used for marching. There are many slogans or messages related to peace building on the T-shirt poster and banners also. Before marching 20 children and youth are invited to understand the meaning or message of posters and they are trained how to share this information with people in target villages and they can meet people in their house to explain what is peace culture and the relevant topic of peace. 300 people will join the marching on "Peace", including children, youth, parents and authorities, who will join marching for peaceful community.
4/. Children Club activity
CAMP will help children club in Rattanakiri to develop their activities related to domestic violence or trafficking. CAMP will allocate 250 dollars for their activities in two months. In this period, CAMP will strengthen their capacity and to strengthen their club to work effectively. Children will do report activity to CAMP after finished their implementing.
5/. Monitoring and Evaluation
CAMP will monitor and evaluate the activities we implement to find a good way to pursue next project. Two children and one adult from Commune councilor will play an active role of monitoring the domestic violence and violence against children in their community. CAMP will create form of monitoring and will explain how to collect data and at the end of the project CAMP will go to meet these focal persons and other relevant such as children and youth member's club, partner and some people in targets villages.
6/. Reporting
CAMP will do activities and financial report at the end of the project and send to donor agency by attaching photos of act ivies.
nds to speak up and take action against serious violations of children's rights through various projects. CAMP has also been involved in getting the children and youths to participate and implement the projects by themselves.
The project, "Children and Youth Participation for peace building," is designed to mobilize children and youth to work together to build peace in the family and the society also. This project will contribute to reduce the violence in Cambodia society by building peace culture in among of children and young people and some family who always commit domestic violence.
Expected results:
- 80 participants including children and their parents whose parents always commit domestic violence, will gain knowledge on peaceful family and will fine the way to apply the peace in their family.
- 400 T-shirts and 400 posters are printed and used in the marching. It will be the advocacy tool to raise awareness about peace culture to public, especially, parents who always commit violence.
- 300 people, children, their parents and authorities in this three villages and from other villages, participate in marching on peace palm.
- 20 children and youth are invited to involve in this marching and they can raise awareness of peace to at least 40 families in the target groups.
- Children in Rattanakiri are strengthened their capacity and their club to empower them to raise awareness on domestic violence or CSEC issue.
