3/. Capacity Building for CAMP's Members in Phnom Penh

       Internal Training

  • Child-Rights (I)
On July 11-12, 2006, CAMP conducted first training on "Children's Rights" to all members at CAMP's office to strengthen CAMP's members on Children's Rights. This training was supported by Child Rights Foundation through Cambodia Children and Young People Movement for Children's Rights (CCYPMCR). 

       After the training, we got the following output:
       -        3 of participants  well understood the topic and the content of the training
       -        7 of participants fairly understood the topic and the content of the training
       -        6 of participants understood the topic and the content of the training











  • Facilitation Skill and Team Work

On September 02-03, 2006, CAMP conducted a training on "Facilitation skill and Team Work" to its members at CAMP's office to build members capacity on how to facilitate workshop, training or any events, to strengthen members on how to work and to encourage them to work as a team, as well as to provide them opportunities for the additional knowledge for running their work more effectively. The main topics of this course are: the definition of facilitation, the criteria of good facilitator, the principle of facilitator, the obstacles during facilitating, Problems solving strategies during facilitating, Attitude and Gesture of facilitator, Facilitation Methodologies and understanding team's members. 

       After the training course we got the following output:
       -        6 of participants well understood the topics and content of the training
       -        6 of participants fairly understood the topics and content of the training
       -        3 of participants understood the topics and content of the training

  • Children's Participation and Workshop Organization

On October 02-03, 2006 CAMP conducted a training course on "Children Participation and Workshop Organization" to its members at CAMP's office to mainstream Children's participation concept to all members, to build up and strengthen capacity of all CAMP's members in practicing children's participation and workshop organization, to promote their working ability. 17 participants (12 CAMP's members, 1 CAMP's children, 3 children from Children Club members of World Vision Cambodia, 1 adult from Hagar) attended the course.  The main topics of this training are: the definition of Children's participation, the ladder/level of children's participation, the wheel of children's participation, the children's participation in project cycle, the advantage of children and youth participation, the challenges of children and youth participation, and the process of organizing workshop.

       After the training course we got the following output:
       -        Most participants well understood the level of Children's participation
       -        Some members had quoted some points of the lesson to use in their work (HOW)
       -        Participants understood how to involve children participation in the project cycle
       -        Participants have exchanged and compared the meaningful of children's participation with unreal children's participation with staff from Hagar
       -        We got more interest from Hagar on this topic
       -        We got comments from the participants on the training document.
       -        Training document on Children's Participation is being revised and compiled in to Khmer Version
       -        The participants got clearly understand on method of involving children in the project activities effectively.

  • Project Management and Report Writing
On October 18-20, 2006, CAMP conducted a training course on "Project Management" to its members at CAMP's office to build up members' capacity on project Management, to guide and assist them in Project Management, to apply project Management theory into to an action, to improve the effectiveness of project implementation, and to strengthen members' responsibilities in Project Management. 14 members and 3 children from World Vision Cambodia's Children Club attended this course.The four main topics are: 1- Project Management Cycle 2- Logical Framework 3- Project Monitoring and Evaluation 4- Report Writing.

       After the training course we got the following output:
       -        10 of participants fairly understood the topic and content of the training
       -        4 of participants understood the topic and content of the training

  • Child-Rights (II)
October 28-29, 2006, CAMP conducted a Second training on "Children's Right" to its members at CAMP's office to strengthen all members' capacity in promoting the implementation of children's rights and in advocacy work for children's rights, to disseminate children's rights, to show methods and techniques in promoting Children's rights. This training was supported by Child Rights Foundation through Cambodia Children and Young People Movement for Children's Rights (CCYPMCR).The main topics of this training are: United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child, Children's Responsibilities, Way to Promote Children's Rights and Advocacy for Children's Rights.

       After the training course we got the following output:
       -        6 of participants are well understood the topic of the training
       -        6 of participants are fairly understood the topic of the training
       -        3 of participants are understood the topic of the training.
