6- MAIN ACTIVITIES:
6-1- Revisit Children Clubs, NGOs Partners and Village Chiefs:
CAMP will revisit the four children clubs, child village nets, the village chiefs and the NGOs partners in the four target provinces, Kampong Speu, Kampong Thom, Battambang and Rattanakiri by conducting 1-day meeting per each province participated by 5 child club members, 4 child village nets, 4 village chiefs and 1 NGOs partner staff for each meeting. Totally, four 1-day meeting will be conducted in four target provinces with 56 participants. This meeting will cover the agendas as the following:
- To present the continuation project's objectives and activities
- To report each other updated activities and to follow up child village libraries
- To discuss on how can both children and village chiefs work as collaboration
- To discuss on what kind of support that both children and village chiefs can contribute to each other in order to promote child rights implementation in the communities
- To discuss on the possibilities of promoting Child Rights especially Children Participation activities in target villages.
- The signature on new cooperation agreements between CAMP and the NGOs partners
The main purpose of the meeting is to update each other activities and to find the effective ways of promoting Child Rights by using Child Participation and Child Friendly Methods.
6-2- Conduct training on How to Structure and Coordinate Children Group/Network and Child Right Promotion Methods.
Through the success of the previous project implementation, children club members and child village nets gained some skills, knowledge and some experiences in implementing the project, organizing workshops, especially children's rights understanding. However, these knowledge, skills and experiences are not enough for children to implement their activities. So we need to refresh them some skills and we have to strengthen them more capacity through building some more skills such as skill of coordinating and structuring, Networking or promotion of children rights method.
Children need to be refreshed on some skills that they are not clarify and they also need to be built on other new skills as below in order to assist them to carry out their action plan and activities in the communities more effectively.
6-2-1- Conduct 2-days training on How to Structure and Coordinate Children Group/Network:
CAMP will conduct one 2-days training on How to Structure and Coordinate Children Group/Network in each province with 5 child club members and 8 child village nets (2 child village nets representative from one village) per province in order to build up their capacity on how to create and coordinate the child village nets in their communities. CAMP will assist children to transfer this skill from theory to the action through the children local action plan, which initiated and implemented by children themselves.
Totally, four 2-days trainings on Skill of Structuring and Coordinating Children Group/Network will be conducted in the four target provinces with 20 child club members and 32 child village nets from 16 target villages.
6-2-2- Conduct first 1-day training on Child Rights Promotion Methods.
The day after 2-days training on Skill of Structuring and Coordinating Children Group/Network, CAMP will conduct first 1-day training on Child Rights Promotion Methods in each province by inviting 5 child club members, 40 child village nets (10 child village nets from on village) per province to participate in the training in order to assist both child club members and child village nets to apply these methods into their activities and to build up their capacity to work more effectively on Child Rights Promotion in their community.
Totally, four 1-day training on Child Rights Promotion Methods will be conducted in the four target provinces with 20 child club members and 160 child village nets from 16 target villages.
6-3- Assist Children to Develop their Local Action Plan and The Implementation of their Local Action Plan:
To bring up the children's initiative into the papers/proposals, from the beginning of the main project activities, CAMP will play an active role to assist and support the initiative of the children club members and the child village nets to prepare their local action plans to address the children issues related to child rights and to serve the best interest of the children in their communities. CAMP has an active role to give them recommendations in case of necessary during their preparation. After complete all action plans, they will summit their action plans to CAMP. And CAMP will allocate some fund from the main project to their local activities.
To make the children's initiative regarding the child rights promoting and addressing into the action, CAMP will play an active role to be their technical support in case of being necessary during their implementation. CAMP has to monitor all of their activities and we will give them advice or recommendations to make their next activities effectiveness.
6-4- Monitoring:
To monitor the project implementation and to ensure the quality of the project, CAMP have to compile all project activities report and prepare the quarterly, semester and final report based on the action plan and achievement.
The project team will conduct monthly meeting to review and monitor the progress and find the strategic to bring the project activities reach the objectives.
Project officer will send the project activities report monthly, quarterly and yearly to the Program Manager. The Program Manager will check, edit if necessary and finalized on the report and send it to Representative and the funding agency/institute according to the requirement.
To monitor on financial process, Financial Manager will prepare and send the financial report monthly, quarterly and yearly to CAMP's Representative and CAMP's Representative will check and finalized on the report and send it to the donor according to the requirement.
CAMP will monitor the activities through both direct regular visits on each province during the project implementation period to collect the information about progress and regular telephone calls.
The children club members will respond to prepare and send the progress and financial report of their own local activities to CAMP after an activity or a series of activities were done.
The child village nets also respond to report their activities in the village to the children club members monthly.
To monitor the project implementation as well as to ensure the quality of the project, a progress report and financial report will be submitted to CAMP by child club members after each activity or a series of activities is completed.
6-5- Conducting evaluation meeting:
CAMP will conduct an evaluation meeting in Siem Reap province with Children Club Members to report each other working process and to find strengthen, weakness, opportunity and threaten of the project in order to measure the impact of the project and to correct and improve for the next activities. Both children and CAMP's members will have the opportunity to exchange and learn from each other the successful and unsuccessful experiences in order to correct each other and continue to improve our project activities implementation. The children from each province will also have the opportunity to learn from each other any new and successful method in coordinating their local activities in the communities, so that they can also apply in their respected province. Moreover they will gain more understanding of the children's situation from difference provinces. CAMP will discuss with children on the requirement for the next activities in order to carry project out more and more effectively.
6-6- Reporting
CAMP will responds to prepare and send project progress reports as well as final reports, including activity and financial reports to the funding organization.
